Together with several PADI dive centers, the tourist board of fuerteventura and organize the vast Nautical Fiesta del Mar in Puerto de Corralejo, fuerteventura island (Canary Islands). Fuerteventura is a privileged place in its entirety declared a Biosphere Reserve. It has more than 150 white sand beaches, turquoise waters where year-round dive, where huge landscapes to discover and share the openness of its people. 

The  fiesta del mar will be held on September 11, 2010, with diving, but you can also benefit from many advantages: water sports like surfing, windsurfing, kite, SUP, snorkelling … among others, completely free and enjoy food and drink.

Located near North Point, Corralejo is one of the busiest tourist areas of fuerteventura.

The main source of income here is tourism, particularly the British and that is something that we see nothing to get there.
The typical houses of life are now extremely scarce and have been replaced by apartment buildings and apartments.

In the spring, we can see different boats, we can hire to go fishing on the high seas, diving or simply enjoy the sea floor, as many of these boats have a transparent background.

You can also find boats that take you to the Isla de Lobos (located in front of corralejo) in the morning and return in the afternoon to pick.

There are two major barge berths, one is for the company Naviera Armas and another for the company Fred Olsen.

These two companies maintain communicated (except in extreme cases of very bad weather) the islands of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote by sea.

Corralejo has a main street where the greatest concentration of restaurants and all kinds of shops. Can be found from surfing, to boutiques with prestigious brands, not forgetting of course, the souvenir stands, where you will find a towel beach shoes.

As for the type of fuerteventura restaurants, can find all kinds of food: Canaria, Mediterranean, Asian, Italian etc …

There are also pubs and terrace bar where you can spend a relaxing and enjoyable evening having a drink and live music.

If on the contrary we feel like going to plan “march”, please visit the Atlantic Mall, located on the same avenue.

There you will find many very small local music scene, and there are some Karaoke.

There are many people young and usually there is usually no security problems (The barracks of the Guardia Civil and Local Police is just one side of the center, just 10 meters).

The small beaches in the center of town, do not go unnoticed and apart from being used all day by countless tourists and locals, also make improvised kindergarten (nursery) for children who enjoy playing in the sand while parents take a snack on the terrace of a restaurant.

In the same nucleus is a small playground (very clean and care) for parents (especially local) take their young to have a pleasant evening.

On the outskirts of town, direction “South” we are on our right to the dunes of Corralejo, which together with the island of wolves and lagoons, form a rich endemic fauna and flora. This group was appointed on 15 October 1982, Natural Park

At the other end of the road just in front of the Dunes, we find the magnificent fuerteventura beachs, white sand beaches and very clean waters, are very busy for some swimmers and surfers who park their cars on the side of the road (you must be very careful when crossing the road in that area, as the cars go too fast).

For the last 25 years competing in the world’s best surfers in fuerteventura. The wind and sun are guaranteed in this global competition. To celebrate the anniversary  will be a massive fuerteventura event. Between 23 July and August 7, 2010 will be held a total of four disciplines of the world championship windsurfing and kiteboarding.

The long beach of Caleta de Fuste is made with imported golden sand. Over time the sand has been compacted, but unlike many other places where nature has done away with the beach of caleta de fuste is still intact, and there are plans to improve services from the main beach. Among the newly opened Sheraton hotel and shopping center have made several Atlantic beaches, creating gaps where previously there was nothing but rock and filling them with imported sand. These beaches are now almost native and muddy bottom at the beginning and had largely gone. They are very beautiful and an ideal place for a quick sunbathe after shopping at the mall.

These beaches are getting close to the fuerteventura hotels‘ high standing south of the original development. Some of the new beaches are already completed.

In Caleta de Fuste is over thirty resorts, most of them are apartments with 1 or 2 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and pool in the center. You can see their exact location on the page map of Caleta

Apartment complexes are located in three main areas, the center of Caleta, Nuevo Horizonte north and the “Chipmunk mountain” “mountain of squirrels” that is not a real mountain, rather a hill.

Earlier in Caleta had only 15 taxis, typically enough, but in the high season was not enough and more licenses were granted in June and already the new taxis are working. In the capital Puerto del Rosario facileness arrive at bus no. 3 at 20 minutes.

Caleta de Fuste has grown in recent years. Apart from the first golf course of 18 holes will open another this summer. The Sheraton is finished and running, like the Hotel Costa Caleta

The village Caleta de Fuste is also known as Caleta, El Castillo (for the seventeenth century fortification) and more recently Costa Caleta. This causes some confusion, as some tourists think that every name is a different site and would like to see them!
