The long beach of Caleta de Fuste is made with imported golden sand. Over time the sand has been compacted, but unlike many other places where nature has done away with the beach of caleta de fuste is still intact, and there are plans to improve services from the main beach. Among the newly opened Sheraton hotel and shopping center have made several Atlantic beaches, creating gaps where previously there was nothing but rock and filling them with imported sand. These beaches are now almost native and muddy bottom at the beginning and had largely gone. They are very beautiful and an ideal place for a quick sunbathe after shopping at the mall.

These beaches are getting close to the fuerteventura hotels‘ high standing south of the original development. Some of the new beaches are already completed.

In Caleta de Fuste is over thirty resorts, most of them are apartments with 1 or 2 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and pool in the center. You can see their exact location on the page map of Caleta

Apartment complexes are located in three main areas, the center of Caleta, Nuevo Horizonte north and the “Chipmunk mountain” “mountain of squirrels” that is not a real mountain, rather a hill.

Earlier in Caleta had only 15 taxis, typically enough, but in the high season was not enough and more licenses were granted in June and already the new taxis are working. In the capital Puerto del Rosario facileness arrive at bus no. 3 at 20 minutes.

Caleta de Fuste has grown in recent years. Apart from the first golf course of 18 holes will open another this summer. The Sheraton is finished and running, like the Hotel Costa Caleta

The complex was developed with a view to providing safe and relaxing holidays for families and all who wish to spend their holidays in a pleasant environment.

The village Caleta de Fuste is also known as Caleta, El Castillo (for the seventeenth century fortification) and more recently Costa Caleta. This causes some confusion, as some tourists think that every name is a different site and would like to see them!
